• Trilogi Otobiografi

  • Autobiographical Trilogy

These three books are very personal for me, for they are stories from my own life. I felt there were too much pressuring social norms that people get so used to hypocrisy and failed to be honest to themselves. This biographical trilogy reveals important but embarrasing facts of my life and my partner’s life. I hope they will encourage people to dare to see themselves naked. During the writing process I came to understand that art, and so literature, is an effort to find aesthetic forms for honesty.

The Single Parasite, Enrico's Love Story, The Confession of A

  • Pengakuan Eks Parasit Lajang, 2013

    (non-fiksi)

  • The Confession of A

    (non-fiction)
A sexual and spiritual autobiography. Taking the Garden of Eden story as a metaphor for consciousness in the opening, this book narrates the development of the progragonist's awareness of her sexuality and spirituality. A Catholic girl who left the church, she made love with a devout Muslim boy who tried to convert her even in bed, became a little wild but never gave up pondering on the meaning of love and life. Her contemplation took her to return to the ideal garden—the garden of her childhood and the Garden of Paradise—as the nostalgia of a unity no longer exist.

"The Confession" is the peak of the trilogy that started ten years earlier without a plan to be a trilogy. English translation by Kadek Krishna Adidharma.
